As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor, Gus has dedicated his career to helping individuals navigate the complex journey of recovery and personal growth.

Gus's expertise lies at the intersection of addiction treatment and trauma recovery. Having worked in the addiction and recovery field for five years, he has witnessed firsthand the profound connection between unprocessed trauma and the healing process. This insight informs his holistic approach to therapy, recognizing that whether clients are pursuing recovery from addiction-related issues or other life concerns, addressing underlying trauma is often key to sustainable healing.

A standout feature of Gus's practice is his use of Brainspotting, an innovative therapeutic technique. As a Certified Brainspotting Therapist, Gus harnesses this powerful tool to help clients process unresolved trauma. Brainspotting taps into the brain's natural ability to self-heal, allowing for more efficient and effective therapy. Gus has completed Phase 1 & 2 training in Brainspotting and is actively pursuing full certification, demonstrating his commitment to mastering this cutting-edge approach.

In addition to Brainspotting, Gus employs a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Gestalt therapy. Gus completed his master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Indiana Wesleyan University, building a strong foundation for his practice.
