Cali Babey

As a post-doctoral fellow at Centered Therapy Chicago, Dr. Babey brings a unique blend of compassion, authenticity, and evidence-based practices to her work with adults and young adults.

Dr. Babey specializes in working with LGBTQIA+ identified individuals and their loved ones, drawing from over a decade of dedicated advocacy and empowerment within the community. Her expertise extends to helping clients navigate life transitions, identity development, and a range of concerns including stress, depression, anxiety, complex trauma, and relationship issues. She is particularly attuned to the impacts of racism, sexism, oppression, and discrimination on mental health and well-being.

With a relational, feminist, and trauma-informed approach, Dr. Babey tailors her therapeutic style to each client's unique needs and goals. She integrates somatic, mind-body, and mindfulness-based interventions to promote holistic healing and growth. Dr. Babey's background includes extensive training in various settings, from inpatient hospitals to private practices, equipping her with a versatile skill set to address diverse client needs.

Dr. Babey completed her doctorate in clinical psychology at Roosevelt University in Chicago, enhancing her clinical expertise through experiences at institutions such as Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital and Hartgrove Behavioral Health Hospital. Her commitment to the LGBTQ community is evident in her involvement with organizations like Center on Halsted in Chicago and True Colors Inc. in Connecticut.
