About

Narrative therapy meets mindfulness in the compassionate approach of Zach Warzecka, an interning therapist who is redefining the therapeutic journey. As he completes his master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern Arizona University, Zach brings a fresh perspective to the counseling room, seamlessly blending innovative techniques with time-honored wisdom.

At the heart of Zach's practice is the belief that each person's life is a story waiting to be rewritten. He understands that when our narratives feel unbearable—weighed down by anxiety, depression, or negative self-perceptions—reaching out for help can be the first step towards positive change. Zach's primary goal is to aid clients in creating meaningful, fulfilling, and healthy life experiences through a collaborative therapeutic process.

Zach's therapeutic approach is as unique as the individuals he serves. He eclectically adapts his methods to meet each client's specific needs and goals, integrating narrative therapy with intersectional feminist and mindfulness perspectives. This innovative combination allows clients to explore their identities, unpack the influences that shape their thoughts and behaviors, and shift their relationships with challenging emotions. Zach employs techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindful Self-Compassion to foster change and growth in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.

Recognizing the importance of cultural responsiveness, Zach strives to offer a therapeutic space that validates the lived experiences and emotions of diverse individuals. His practice is firmly rooted in an LGBTQIA+ affirming stance, welcoming adults of all gender identifications. Zach approaches therapy through an anti-oppressive lens, ensuring that each client feels seen, heard, and respected.

Drawing from his background as a former professor and faculty advisor, Zach brings extensive experience in supporting both undergraduate and graduate communities. He welcomes the opportunity to aid students and teachers in their processes of growth, discovery, and healing, understanding the unique challenges faced in academic environments.

For those seeking to create new ways of engaging with themselves and their lives, characterized by insight, acceptance, and self-compassion, Zach Warzecka offers a collaborative and transformative therapeutic experience. His approach invites clients to rewrite their life stories, empowering them to become the authors of their own narratives and architects of their own growth.
