With over three decades of experience in mental health counseling, Wendy Krauss brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice at Advanced Behavioral Health Center. Licensed since 1989, Wendy's approach is grounded in a diverse background that spans from inpatient chronic pain treatment to outpatient addictions therapy.

Wendy's educational foundation includes a Master's Degree in counseling from Suffolk University in Boston, complemented by a professional social work license in Massachusetts obtained in 1980. This dual background in counseling and social work provides her with a unique perspective, allowing her to address clients' needs from multiple angles.

Specializing in trauma treatment, Wendy is a Certified Therapist in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a globally recognized and approved therapy for trauma resolution. Her expertise extends to clinical hypnosis and rapid trauma resolution, showcasing her commitment to employing evidence-based techniques to help clients overcome challenging experiences.

In addition to her trauma work, Wendy holds national certification as a Certified Addictions Specialist (CAS) through The American Academy of Healthcare Providers in the Addictive Disorders, a credential she's maintained since 1989. This specialization enables her to provide comprehensive care for individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction, as well as support for their families.

Wendy's diverse skill set also includes working with students with disabilities and addressing the unique challenges faced by chemically dependent adult men. Her educational background, which includes a BA in English and Theatre Arts, as well as advanced training in AIDS Education, further enriches her therapeutic approach, allowing her to draw from a broad spectrum of knowledge when working with clients.
