Tamika's journey to becoming a therapist began with her own experiences addressing unhealthy patterns that often left her feeling "stuck" and were rooted in negative generational patterns within her family. This personal insight fuels her dedication to helping others peel back layers of shame, hurt, dysfunction, and brokenness, empowering them to see themselves more fully and truly thrive.

With a diverse clientele ranging from children (age 5 and up) to teens and adults, Tamika specializes in addressing a wide array of mental health concerns. Her areas of expertise include trauma, complex trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, stress, and phase of life issues. Tamika's approach is both compassionate and collaborative, recognizing that clients are the experts in their own lives. She strives to create a safe, therapeutic relationship where clients feel seen, heard, and valued as they work through life's challenges.

Tamika employs a flexible treatment approach, tailoring her methods to best meet each individual's unique needs and goals. Her therapeutic toolkit includes evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Child-Centered Play Therapy. This versatility allows her to adapt her techniques to provide the most effective support for each client's specific situation.

Originally from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Tamika brings a local perspective to her practice. She earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University at Commerce, providing her with a strong educational foundation to complement her empathetic nature and personal insights.
