Sydney's expertise spans a diverse range of areas, with a particular focus on adult therapy, coping strategies for self-esteem and depression, and specialized support for Black women and autistic individuals. Her work is grounded in a flexible approach that honors the individuality of each client, recognizing that every person's path to healing is unique. Sydney's proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) provides a solid foundation for her practice, while her exploration of Gestalt therapy adds depth to the range of support options available to her clients.

Drawing from her experience working with survivors of sexual assault and severe trauma, Sydney has honed her ability to handle sensitive situations with the utmost care and compassion. This background enables her to create a safe, validating space where clients feel heard and supported as they work through their most challenging experiences. As she transitions from an intern to a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC), Sydney remains committed to expanding her skills in ways that directly benefit her clients, including potential future work with couples and exploring the healing potential of somatic therapy.

Sydney's educational journey includes pursuing a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, building upon her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from the same institution. Her academic achievements are complemented by practical experience as a paraprofessional in the Special School District, providing her with valuable insights into the diverse needs of individuals across various life stages.
