Steve's journey in physical therapy began with a solid educational foundation. He graduated from Cal State Northridge in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science, laying the groundwork for his future career. His dedication to academic excellence shone through when he earned his Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) credential at Cerritos College in 2015, graduating as valedictorian of his class.
Since embarking on his professional journey, Steve has gained valuable experience across a spectrum of therapeutic disciplines. While his primary focus is orthopedics, he has also worked in neurological rehabilitation, aquatic therapy, and pediatrics. The following year, Steve further expanded his expertise by obtaining his Certified Applied Functional Science (CAFS) certification from the renowned Gray Institute, deepening his understanding of movement and functional training.
Prior to joining Rehab United, Steve gained invaluable experience working with several surgical physician groups in San Diego. This exposure provided him with extensive knowledge in post-operative rehabilitation, a skill set that proves particularly beneficial when working with patients recovering from surgical procedures.
Steve Watson's combination of academic achievement, diverse clinical experience, and advanced certifications positions him as a well-rounded and highly qualified Physical Therapist Assistant.
