Her extensive background in working with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, psychiatric disorders, and co-occurring conditions sets her apart as a versatile and skilled clinician.

Stephens' educational foundation is impressive, having earned a Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling with a dual concentration in developmental and psychiatric disorders from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This specialized training, combined with her undergraduate triple major in psychology, sociology, and criminology from Meredith College, provides her with a multifaceted understanding of human behavior and mental health.

To best serve her clients, Stephens utilizes an integrated therapeutic approach, drawing techniques from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). This versatile toolkit allows her to tailor her approach to each client's unique needs, helping them develop the necessary skills to achieve their therapeutic goals.
