From the bustling classrooms of elementary schools to the serene spaces of therapy offices, SaraJane Aufrecht, M.S., LPC-Associate, has dedicated her career to nurturing mental health across diverse age groups and family dynamics. With a unique background in infant and toddler mental health, SaraJane brings a developmental perspective to her work with youth, teens, adults, couples, and families.

SaraJane's journey in mental health began with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, specializing in infant and toddler mental health, followed by a Master's degree in clinical counseling from Hope International University in Fullerton, California. Her practical experience was honed during her practicum with Outreach Concern, where she provided vital support in schools, addressing a wide range of behavioral, social, emotional, and academic challenges. This experience culminated in her placement at an elementary school, working closely with children aged 7-10.

Building on this foundation, SaraJane expanded her expertise into the field of applied behavior analysis, dedicating five years to working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism spectrum disorder, in children and adolescents aged 5-14. Her therapeutic approach is both diverse and evidence-based, utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy and person-centered therapy. Additionally, SaraJane is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a cutting-edge technique particularly effective for addressing anxiety, grief, and trauma.

SaraJane's professional philosophy is deeply rooted in her personal goal: to help others see the joy around them and find peace in their lives. This aspiration infuses her work with a sense of purpose and optimism, creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel supported and encouraged to explore their potential for growth and healing.

Her comprehensive approach to mental health, combined with her specialized training and diverse experience, positions her as a versatile and empathetic therapist capable of addressing a wide spectrum of mental health needs across various life stages and family structures.
