About

The experience of being truly heard and understood can be deeply transforming, and Sarah Deininger, MEd, LPCC, feels privileged to work with those seeking support through connection. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Sarah aims to partner with children and adolescents to support meaningful change in their lives through a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered therapeutic approach.

Sarah's practice is characterized by her use of a variety of theoretical orientations and approaches to best meet the needs of each individual client. She specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, which are the most common methodologies she employs. Additionally, Sarah finds experience-based interventions to be a helpful tool for self-expression and learning, further enriching her therapeutic toolkit.

With a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University, Sarah brings a solid educational foundation to her practice. Her areas of expertise include working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues. While her primary focus is on children and adolescents, Sarah also works with adults, offering individual therapy sessions.

Sarah strives to create a welcoming space where clients feel supported exactly where they are in their journey. She believes in engaging clients in the therapeutic process, meeting them at their current stage of readiness for change. Her approach is designed to foster a safe and nurturing environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, develop coping strategies, and work towards their personal goals.

In addition to her therapeutic skills, Sarah accepts a range of insurance providers, including Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, CCEHP Plus Plan, and Medical Mutual. She also offers a self-pay option for those who prefer it. This variety of payment options reflects her commitment to making mental health support accessible to a wide range of clients.
