About

From navigating the complexities of adolescent technology use to unraveling the mysteries of dreams, Rhonda Pierce brings a unique and comprehensive approach to her counseling practice. With 18 years in the counseling field and serving as a Mental Health practitioner since 2014, Rhonda has cultivated a diverse skillset that allows her to address a wide range of mental health concerns for clients aged 10 through adulthood.

Rhonda's therapeutic approach is rooted in her empathetic personality, which enables her to take a slow, analytic approach before moving into more structured interventions. She employs a variety of techniques including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Visualization, Journaling, and Art therapy, often complementing these with tailored homework assignments to reinforce progress outside of sessions. This multi-faceted approach allows her to adapt her methods to best suit each client's unique needs and learning style.

With extensive experience in treating anger, trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, divorce, grief, attachment issues, eating disorders, and sleep problems, Rhonda is well-equipped to handle a broad spectrum of mental health challenges. She has a particular interest in sleep issues, including dreams and nightmares, and is currently developing a dream work manual to help others recognize patterns and behaviors that their dreams may be revealing.

Rhonda's commitment to addressing contemporary issues is evident in her work with adolescents struggling with technology overuse. She has observed a concerning trend of teens overly relying on technology as a substitute for genuine social connections, learning, and healthy coping mechanisms. Her goal is to help young clients navigate these challenges and develop healthier relationships with technology, ultimately leading to improved emotional well-being and reduced anxiety.

Education has played a crucial role in shaping Rhonda's expertise. She holds a Masters in Psychology, obtained in 1996, and later earned a Specialist Degree in School Counseling in 2011. This educational background, combined with her years of practical experience, allows her to bring a well-rounded perspective to her work, especially when dealing with school-related issues and the unique challenges faced by young clients.

Beyond her professional life, Rhonda finds fulfillment in quiet times with her family, exploring creative pursuits such as clay work and photography, and giving back to her community through volunteer work. These personal interests not only contribute to her own well-being but also inform her holistic approach to mental health, recognizing the importance of balance and creativity in one's life.

Rhonda Pierce's practice is a testament to her belief that change often requires exploring all available options. Whether working with an adolescent grappling with technology-induced anxiety or an adult seeking to understand the messages in their dreams, Rhonda is dedicated to helping her clients find their path to peace and well-being. Her combination of empathy, analytical thinking, and diverse therapeutic techniques makes her a valuable ally for anyone seeking to overcome mental health challenges and achieve personal growth.
