Rebecca's journey in mental health began at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she earned her Master of Social Work degree. Her diverse experience spans a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatric care, domestic violence and sexual assault response and shelter, intensive in-home therapy, family case management, crisis intervention, and private practice outpatient counseling. This broad exposure has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of mental health challenges across different contexts.
With a particular passion for treating the unique needs of adolescents and young adults, Rebecca has developed specialized expertise in several areas. Her practice focuses on depression, anxiety disorders, women's issues, domestic violence and sexual assault, self-esteem, attachment disorders, grief, and life transitions. She has not only provided individual therapy in these areas but has also facilitated Batterer Intervention and Anger Management groups. Additionally, Rebecca has developed and facilitated a curriculum focused on parenting through domestic violence, demonstrating her commitment to addressing complex family dynamics.
