Nancy Mione

With over three decades of experience in the mental health field, Nancy Mione, LPC, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her counseling practice. Her approach is characterized by a deep commitment to ethical, multicultural, and unbiased mental health services, shaped by her diverse upbringing in New York City and extensive professional experiences.

Nancy specializes in helping patients set and achieve realistic goals, explore alternatives, and gain a comprehensive understanding of themselves, their relationships, and stressful life situations. She values an integrative health approach, often collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic care for her clients. Her practice focuses on developing trusting counseling relationships and implementing the most effective therapeutic strategies for each individual.

Since earning her Master of Arts in Counseling from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 1990, Nancy has counseled numerous patients and their families across the East Valley, Phoenix, Scottsdale, and beyond. Her most recent position was with District Medical Group at Desert Horizon Integrated Health in Mesa, showcasing her adaptability and diverse experience in various healthcare settings.

Nancy's expertise is further enhanced by her certifications in clinical trauma, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy. She is also experienced and trained in advanced dialectical techniques, allowing her to offer a comprehensive range of therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's needs. Nancy provides counseling for patients 12 years old and older, demonstrating her versatility in working with both adolescents and adults.

Outside of her professional life, Nancy maintains a balanced lifestyle that informs her practice. She enjoys bicycling, cooking, hiking, nature walks, photography, and reading. These pursuits not only contribute to her personal well-being but also provide her with relatable experiences to share with clients striving for work-life balance. Nancy's miniature poodle, Abigail, often accompanies her on walks, highlighting her appreciation for the therapeutic benefits of animal companionship.
