Morgan Pellicer
LPCA • Licensed Professional Counselor Associate
About
From navigating life's obstacles to uncovering personal growth, Morgan Pellicer, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, brings a wealth of experience and a diverse therapeutic toolkit to her practice at Pellicer Counseling. As a co-owner of the practice, Morgan has seamlessly transitioned from overseeing administrative aspects to embracing her role as a dedicated therapist, driven by a passion for helping clients find light in the darkest corners of their lives.
Morgan's therapeutic approach is as multifaceted as the clients she serves. With a strong foundation in various modalities, including person-centered therapy, emotionally focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, intergenerational therapy, and trauma-focused therapy, she tailors her methods to meet each client's unique needs. Her training in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) further equips her to assist those grappling with trauma or disturbing thoughts and images.
At the heart of Morgan's practice is a deep-seated belief in the relational nature of human beings. She brings a nuanced understanding of how family dynamics and early life experiences shape our ability to process information, communicate, form connections, and regulate emotions. This perspective allows her to work effectively with individuals, couples, and families, addressing a wide range of concerns from anxiety and depression to relationship issues and personality disorders.
Morgan's journey to becoming a therapist is rooted in personal growth and self-reflection. She shares, "I remember what it feels like to wonder if things would always be this way, or if things were like this for everyone else too." This empathetic insight fuels her commitment to meeting clients where they are, whether they're struggling with co-dependency, seeking better coping skills, or simply looking to make meaningful life changes.
Educated at the University of South Carolina, Morgan holds a master's degree in Counselor Education with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy. While she currently operates on a self-pay basis, her priority is ensuring that clients find the right fit for their therapeutic journey, even if that means helping them connect with other professionals. Morgan's approach embodies a balance of empathy, accountability, and motivation for change, creating a supportive environment where clients can embrace current discomfort for future success and work towards living a life worth living.
