Michele Mulcahy

Trauma healing and addiction recovery find a compassionate champion in Michele Mulcahy, MMFT, LMFT-S. As the owner and Clinical Director of CLEAR Counseling, Michele brings a wealth of experience and specialized training to her role as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist.

Michele's journey in therapy is deeply personal. Having benefited greatly from therapy herself, she is passionate about helping others find relief from emotional pain and break through the major blocks that keep them stuck in life. This firsthand experience informs her empathetic approach, particularly when working with individuals suffering from trauma, whether stemming from childhood experiences, adult life, or as a result of public service.

As a member of EMDRIA (EMDR International Association), Michele has received specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. This evidence-based approach has proven particularly effective in treating trauma, allowing Michele to offer cutting-edge care to her clients. Her expertise extends beyond trauma, encompassing work with addictions and recovery in various settings, including in-patient detox and residential treatment centers.

Michele's professional journey has been rich and diverse. She has collaborated with other private practices, working with individuals, couples, families, and children. This broad experience base allows her to tailor her approach to each client's unique needs and circumstances. As a supervisor for the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Services (AZBBHS), Michele also guides and mentors interns and clinicians seeking their LMFT or LPC licensure, sharing her knowledge and experience with the next generation of therapists.

Committed to ongoing professional development, Michele has completed the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) supervisor training course. She is currently working towards becoming a certified AAMFT approved supervisor, underscoring her dedication to excellence in her field. At CLEAR Counseling, Michele has created a space where clients can connect, learn, embrace, accept, and renew - making positive change not just possible, but achievable.
