Melanie Brace

Melanie Brace, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist with over a quarter-century dedicated to child and adolescent psychiatry. She earned her Medical Degree from the University of Michigan in 1990 after a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University and completed residencies in General and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Washington in 1995.

She served on the faculty of the University of Washington Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division and was on staff at Seattle Children's Hospital for six years, treating patients with complex mental and behavioral illnesses often complicated by medical comorbidities. She now practices at the Center for Child and Family Therapy's Port Orchard location.

Dr. Brace provides assessment, medication management, and eclectic therapies for mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, ADHD, ODD, conduct and tic disorders, early-onset psychotic disorders, and autism spectrum and developmental disorders. Her approach is holistic and collaborative, coordinating with primary care providers and other mental health professionals and connecting families with community services.
