With a passion for neuroscience and a commitment to inclusive, patient-centered care, Megan Tomhave, PA-C brings a unique blend of expertise to her role at Revîv Functional Psychiatry & TMS Wellness Center. Her journey into mental health began during her undergraduate studies at Colorado College, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience with distinction. It was here that Megan's dedication to mental health advocacy took root, as she served as chair for her National Alliance on Mental Illness chapter.

Megan's academic excellence continued with her Master's degree from Saint Catherine University, where her thesis explored neurodiversity-affirming approaches to mental healthcare. This research reflects her commitment to embracing diverse perspectives and tailoring treatment to each individual's unique needs. Her ongoing contributions as a distinguished guest lecturer at her alma mater demonstrate her dedication to advancing the field and sharing knowledge with future healthcare professionals.

Throughout her career, Megan has gained valuable experience in various clinical settings, including roles as an Emergency Room Technician, Direct Support Professional, Physical Therapy Aide, and Research Assistant. This diverse background has equipped her with a holistic understanding of patient care and the interconnectedness of physical and mental health. Her honors thesis, which delved into the connections between the gut microbiome and mental health, showcases her innovative thinking and interest in cutting-edge research.

As a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in psychiatry, Megan brings this wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice at Revîv Functional Psychiatry & TMS Wellness Center. Her approach is grounded in the latest scientific understanding of mental health, while also embracing the importance of individualized, compassionate care. Originally from Minnesota, Megan has embraced Southern California as her new home. When not at the clinic, she finds balance and inspiration through outdoor activities like hiking and gardening, as well as creative pursuits such as DJing and painting. These diverse interests reflect her belief in the importance of a well-rounded life for mental health and well-being. Megan shares these adventures with her partner and their cherished Yorkie companion, Louie, embodying the work-life balance she encourages in her patients.
