About

Embarking on a journey towards healing and self-acceptance begins with finding a compassionate guide. Mallory Callans, LAPC, NCC, offers exactly that—a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can explore the underlying factors contributing to their struggles with food, body image, and self-esteem.

As a Health At Every Size (HAES) provider, Mallory specializes in working with eating disorders, disordered eating, and negative body image. Her approach is rooted in empowerment, helping clients develop healthier relationships with food and nurture positive body images. Mallory's expertise extends beyond these areas, offering support for those in the LGBTQIA+ community facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, and life transitions.

Mallory's professional journey is marked by a commitment to evidence-based practices and continuous learning. She holds a B.S. in Family & Child Sciences and Psychology from Florida State University and an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. Her credentials as a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) in the state of Georgia and as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) underscore her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care.

Further enhancing her practice, Mallory has undergone specialized training in Motivational Interviewing as a Weight-Inclusive Provider through The Center for Body Trust. She is also a member of the Association for Size Diversity and Health, reinforcing her dedication to the Health At Every Size principles. Additionally, Mallory has completed level 1 of the Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT) training, expanding her toolkit to better serve her clients.

She works collaboratively with individuals to develop effective strategies for overcoming obstacles and achieving personal growth.
