With over 18 years of counseling and coaching experience, Lorin Hayes brings a unique perspective to her role as a Practicum Counseling Intern at The Good Center. As a former Chaplain Assistant in the United States Army, Lorin has had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures around the world, laying the foundation for her inclusive and comprehensive approach to therapy.
Lorin's therapeutic style is rooted in a strengths-based perspective, with a focus on individual and family systems. She skillfully integrates a Solution-Focused approach, maintaining a positive outlook throughout the therapeutic process. "Celebrating progress, no matter how small, is essential," Lorin writes. "Just like tossing a pebble into water can create ripples, I provide compassionate care by considering clients holistically - mind, body, and soul."
As the author of "Camouflaged Love: A Memoir," Lorin brings her personal experiences and insights into her practice. Her areas of expertise include trauma (emotional, verbal, sexual, and childhood), mid-life and existential crises, depression and anxiety-related issues, and men's and women's empowerment. She also specializes in working with military personnel, veterans, and their families, offering faith-based options counseling when appropriate.
