As a Certified Meditation Instructor in Shamatha-Vipashyana Meditation, she brings an additional layer of mindfulness techniques to her practice.
Her journey to counseling is as unique as her approach. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Kirsten's early career in television and documentary work took her around the globe. A transformative experience teaching English at a Buddhist monastery in Nepal ignited her interest in Buddhist philosophies, ultimately catalyzing her return to the mental health field. This rich tapestry of experiences informs her ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds, offering a worldly perspective alongside professional expertise.
