About

In the sacred space of therapy, where pain finds relief and connection brings renewal, Kelsi Wilson, LMFT, CPTT, stands as a compassionate guide for those navigating the complex terrain of betrayal trauma. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Partner Trauma Therapist, Kelsi brings a unique blend of professional expertise and personal empathy to her practice at The Haven Charlotte.

Kelsi's approach to therapy is rooted in a deep understanding of the healing power of human connection. She believes in creating a warm, safe environment where clients can explore their hidden pain and bring it to the surface. With a gentle yet collaborative style, Kelsi helps individuals and couples uncover the normal needs underlying confusing behaviors and feelings. Her sessions are designed to challenge automatic responses and confront hard truths, paving the way for freedom from patterns of "stuckness" and genuine healing.

Drawing from her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from East Carolina University, Kelsi employs a range of evidence-based techniques in her practice. She is Gottman Level 1 trained and Safe Zone trained, equipping her with additional tools to support diverse client needs. Kelsi's specialization in betrayal trauma therapy makes her particularly adept at guiding individuals and couples through the complex emotions and relational challenges that arise from experiences of betrayal.

Kelsi's therapeutic philosophy is grounded in the belief that every behavior is an attempt to meet a need. She excels at helping clients learn about the parts of themselves that don't make sense, creating room for deeper self-understanding and growth. Through this process, clients become more settled and better able to advocate for their authentic needs and wants. Kelsi's work extends beyond individual sessions; she also facilitates Women's Betrayal Trauma groups, offering a supportive community for healing and growth.

For Kelsi, being with clients is a natural and recharging experience. She finds profound meaning in witnessing people's raw pain and helping them find relief. Her own journey of healing through sharing the darker, messier parts of herself with caring individuals has informed her gentle, collaborative approach. Kelsi's practice at The Haven Charlotte is a testament to her commitment to creating a space where the messy aspects of life are not only accepted but embraced as integral parts of the healing process.
