Embracing a holistic approach to healing, Josh Joseph believes in each individual's innate ability to transform their lives. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, he brings a diverse set of skills and a wealth of experience to his practice at Foundations Counseling.

Josh's therapeutic philosophy is grounded in meeting clients where they are in the present moment. He employs a variety of tools and expertise to help individuals create new approaches to moving forward. His multi-cultural, compassionate, and hopeful approach provides a safe space for clients to explore their challenges and growth opportunities.

Specializing in guiding clients through issues related to anxiety, depression, substance use, adjustment, and life/career coaching, Josh works with adolescents and adults under 70 years of age. His areas of focus also include mental health and wellness, addictions, behavioral activation, boundary-setting, parent-coaching, psychosis, self-care, and sleep training. Additionally, he offers support for life transitions, lack of motivation, relocation, spiritual counseling, and terminal illness.

Josh's impressive educational background includes a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida International University's CACREP Accredited graduate school program. During his studies, he served as Vice-President of Chi Sigma Iota, the international honor society for counseling professionals. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature with a focus on Creative Writing and a minor in Religious Studies from the University of Central Florida.

Committed to ongoing professional development, Josh has acquired numerous certifications and specialized training. He is a Certified International Transgender Counseling Association (ITCA) Mental Health Provider, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Master Practitioner, Hypnotherapist, Advanced Reiki Trainer, and Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) Facilitator. His expertise is further enhanced by Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training certification, advanced Motivational Interviewing (MI) training, and attendance at prestigious conferences such as Harvard Medical School's Benson-Henry Institute of Mind-Body Medicine and the Ericksonian Institute's Evolution of Psychotherapy.
