He has served as a staff psychologist at the Towson University Counseling Center and the Johns Hopkins University Employee/Student Assistance Program. Dr. Schettino's therapeutic approach is both comprehensive and flexible. While rooted in CBT, he often incorporates elements from other empirically-supported treatments such as Acceptance-Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. He specializes in evidence-based evaluations for the workplace and is an active member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP). Currently, he serves as the senior behavioral threat assessment psychologist for Johns Hopkins University and Health System, demonstrating his commitment to creating safe environments.

Dr. Schettino's pursuit of innovative treatments has led him to a clinical appointment at the Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelics and Consciousness Research. Here, he supervises a study examining the effects of psilocybin on OCD, showcasing his dedication to exploring new frontiers in mental health treatment.
