She utilizes evidence-based models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-CBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy. When working with children, Jacqueline often incorporates play and art interventions, providing appropriate materials to support emotional processing and coping.
Through her extensive clinical experiences in multiple community agencies, Jacqueline has developed expertise in helping a diverse range of clients. Her practice spans across all age groups, from children and teens to adults and families. She specializes in addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, family conflict, and life transitions. Additionally, Jacqueline has experience and interest in areas including self-esteem and body image issues, inner child wounds, identity exploration, academic or work stress, communication challenges, grief, women's issues, and parenting struggles.
Jacqueline's educational background includes a Master's degree in Marital & Family Therapy from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from California State University, East Bay. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #141823) with the Board of Behavioral Sciences. Jacqueline continues to enhance her skills through additional training, including completion of courses in the Basics of CBT - Essentials I and Trauma Focused-CBT.
