Heather Pearce
MSW, LCSW • Licensed Clinical Social Worker
About
Empowering clients to develop awareness and balance in their thoughts, emotions, and relationships is at the heart of Heather Pearce's therapeutic approach. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Heather brings a wealth of experience and specialized training to her practice, focusing on helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Heather's journey in mental health began with her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from BYU-Idaho in 2010, followed by a Master's degree from Boise State University in 2012. Since then, she has honed her skills working with diverse populations, including women, adolescents, and parents of struggling children, in both public and private sectors. Her commitment to continuous professional development led her to complete EMDR training in 2018, adding a powerful tool to her therapeutic arsenal for addressing trauma. In 2020, she further expanded her expertise by training in Perinatal Mood Disorders, allowing her to better support clients navigating the complex emotions surrounding pregnancy and early parenthood.
Heather specializes in several evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These modalities, combined with her EMDR training, allow her to tailor treatment plans to each client's unique needs, whether they're grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions. Her extensive experience working with women and adolescents informs her nuanced understanding of the challenges faced by these populations.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Heather maintains a rich personal life that informs her empathetic approach to therapy. She enjoys a variety of activities, including shopping, reading both print and audiobooks, exploring true crime stories, cooking, and spending time outdoors. Her love for entertaining and quality time with her husband, friends, and family reflects her belief in the importance of strong relationships and work-life balance – principles she encourages in her clients as well.
Heather Pearce's combination of professional expertise, continued education, and personal interests creates a well-rounded approach to therapy. Her commitment to helping others find strength through healthy relationships and develop coping strategies for life's challenges makes her a valuable ally for those seeking to improve their mental health and overall well-being.
