As the founder of Chicago Counseling Collective and a Certified Group Psychotherapist, Dr. Frank brings a wealth of experience to her practice, specializing in empowering clients to explore their past experiences and create meaningful change in their present lives.
Dr. Frank earned both her Master of Arts (M.A.) and Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from the APA-Accredited Clinical Psychology program at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Her diverse training background includes a predoctoral internship at Pace University Counseling Center in New York and postdoctoral hours at the University of Illinois Chicago Counseling Center, providing her with extensive experience in university settings and working with young adults.
In her practice, Dr. Frank strives to co-create an empathic and accepting space where clients feel safe yet challenged to work towards personal growth. She believes strongly in the importance of the therapist-patient fit and works collaboratively with her clients to understand their unique challenges and empower them to utilize their own strengths. Her approach focuses on exploring both past and present concerns, aiming to increase awareness of how past experiences influence current situations and create a more fulfilling present.
Dr. Frank's areas of expertise include working with undergraduate and graduate students, early career professionals, and individuals dealing with relationship issues, family-of-origin concerns, and life transitions. She also specializes in women's mental health, including prenatal and postpartum concerns. As a Certified Group Psychotherapist, Dr. Frank offers group therapy services and has a particular interest in modern analytic group therapy.
