With nearly a decade of experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment, Erin Moore, LCMHC, LCAS, QS, CCS-I, brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to her therapy practice. Her goal is to provide a relationship that clients can use for personal growth, creating an environment that is comfortable, safe, and conducive to positive change.

Erin's therapeutic style is fluid, collaborative, and tailored to each individual's needs. She recognizes that clients are the experts on their own lives and maintains a person-centered approach while utilizing evidence-based therapies. Her toolkit includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Radical Acceptance, and Exposure Therapy. This diverse skill set allows her to address a wide range of issues, from post-partum support and day-to-day stress to relationship issues, anxiety, mood disorders, substance use recovery, and trauma.

With a strong educational background, Erin holds a BS in Health Services Management and Rehabilitation Services from East Carolina University, as well as an MS in Substance Abuse & Clinical Counseling with certificates in Military & Trauma and Rehabilitation Counseling. Her extensive experience includes working as a Substance Abuse Specialist on an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, providing support for individuals with Severe and Persistent Mental Illnesses. She has also worked as an inpatient therapist within the behavioral health hospital system and in private practice settings.

Erin's areas of expertise are vast, covering ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, depression, grief and loss counseling, maternal mental health, OCD, PTSD, substance use, and many more. She is particularly skilled in supporting individuals through life transitions and providing stress reduction and management techniques.

Understanding that mental illness and substance use also impact loved ones, Erin provides education and support while encouraging boundary setting and self-care. Her approach is grounded in the belief that attending to and prioritizing mental health is just as crucial as caring for physical health. With Erin, clients can expect a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where they can feel safe to be vulnerable and process their experiences and emotions.
