Dawn Evertson

With over 25 years of experience working with children and young adults, Dawn Evertson brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her role as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate at Family Restoration Counseling Services. Her extensive background in education and counseling within Texas Elementary and Middle Schools has equipped her with a unique set of skills to address a wide range of client needs, particularly in working with adolescents and their families.

Dawn's expertise lies in addressing and managing behavioral problems, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, and school issues. Her experience has also made her particularly adept at helping clients with ADD/ADHD. Dawn's approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to be heard and that each individual's life journey is unique. She creates a safe, empowering environment where clients can develop and implement the skills necessary to navigate their own paths effectively.

As a graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Dawn furthered her academic pursuits at Lamar University, where she earned her Master of Education in Counseling. This combination of educational theory and practical counseling techniques allows her to offer a comprehensive approach to therapy that is both grounded in academic research and responsive to real-world challenges.

Currently practicing under the supervision of Julie Coleman, LPC-S, Dawn continues to refine her skills and expand her therapeutic toolkit. Her commitment to ongoing professional development ensures that her clients receive the most current and effective treatment strategies available in the field of mental health counseling.
