Chris Jakub

With over two decades of experience serving in the inner cities of Cleveland as a police officer, Chris Jakub brings a unique perspective to his role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). His background in law enforcement has given him firsthand insight into the challenges faced by first responders, making him uniquely qualified to provide specialized mental health services to this community.

Chris's expertise extends beyond first responders to include military personnel and their families, as well as individuals grappling with severe trauma and PTSD. His approach to therapy is informed by his extensive experience in high-stress environments, allowing him to connect with clients on a deeper level and provide targeted support for their specific needs.

Prior to joining The Traveling Therapist LLC, Chris honed his skills as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor at Advanced Psychotherapy Services for six years. During this time, he focused on developing effective strategies for addressing complex trauma and working with individuals suffering from Schizoid disorders, including Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID).

Adding to his diverse skill set, Chris is also a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider (CSOTP). This additional certification demonstrates his commitment to addressing a wide range of mental health concerns and providing comprehensive care to his clients.
