From the bustling beaches of Southern California to the forefront of mental health treatment, Breanne Dargon's journey as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist is marked by a deep-rooted passion for healing and a wealth of diverse experiences. Specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship issues, Breanne brings a unique blend of expertise to her practice at Pathways Family Therapy.

Breanne's approach is grounded in Systems Theory, viewing individuals within the context of their relationships and environment. This perspective allows her to offer comprehensive treatment that addresses not just individual symptoms, but also the broader relational and environmental factors that influence mental health. Her toolkit is diverse, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Attachment-based therapy, Emotion-Focused therapy, and Bowen Systems Therapy.

What sets Breanne apart is her extensive experience in treating complex mental health conditions. She has developed a particular expertise in working with individuals diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorders, and Schizophrenia. This specialization extends to supporting families navigating these challenging diagnoses, offering a holistic approach to treatment that encompasses both individual and family dynamics.

Breanne's professional journey is as impressive as it is diverse. After completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology at San Diego State University, she gained valuable experience volunteering with individuals facing homelessness and severe mental illness. This early exposure to the field's challenges fueled her determination to make a difference. She went on to earn her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego, further honing her skills and theoretical knowledge.

For 15 years, Breanne immersed herself in a long-term residential treatment center, where she held various roles including individual therapist, Lead Clinician of Family Services, Clinical Supervisor, and Clinical Director. This extensive experience in a residential setting provided her with a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health treatment and the importance of a comprehensive, long-term approach to care.

Today, as the founder of Pathways Family Therapy, Breanne brings her wealth of knowledge and experience to a private practice setting, offering tailored therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families in San Diego and beyond. Her approach is characterized by a blend of professional expertise and genuine compassion, creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to navigate their mental health journey.
