April's journey in the mental health field began with her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University, followed by a Master of Arts in Family Psychology from Hardin-Simmons University. This strong educational foundation, coupled with over a decade of experience working with groups, has shaped her into a skilled practitioner who understands the nuances of emotional eating and the power of community support.

At the heart of April's practice is her dedication to helping women break free from the cycle of restricting and bingeing. She employs innovative techniques such as tapping to help clients work through stuck places and separate feelings from food.
