Blending the art of performance with the science of mental health, Anthony Hampton brings a unique perspective to his therapeutic practice. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addictions Counselor, and Registered Yoga Teacher, Anthony's approach is as multifaceted as his background, drawing from his experiences as a professional ballet dancer, father, and individual in long-term recovery.

Anthony's therapeutic philosophy centers on the client-therapist relationship, employing an integrated approach that combines Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) with in-depth Psychodynamic interventions. This tailored methodology allows him to address the specific needs and goals of each client, co-creating a path for improved functioning, healing, and personal growth. Anthony prides himself on providing a safe and welcoming atmosphere for this transformative process to unfold.

With a Bachelor of Science degree in Theater, Speech, and Dance, and a Masters in Social Work from The University of South Carolina, Anthony's educational background uniquely positions him to understand the intricate interplay between body, mind, and spirit. He works with individuals, families, and couples, addressing a wide variety of emotional and behavioral concerns. His special interests include substance use disorders, behavioral addictions, unprocessed trauma, chronic anxiety and depression, divorce, loss and grief, sexual identity, and family of origin issues.

Anthony's approach to addiction counseling is particularly noteworthy. He operates from a compassionate, evidence-based perspective, believing that untreated addiction is a significant public health threat that impacts all areas of life - biological, psychological, social, and spiritual. While he is a strong believer in the 12-step design for sober living, Anthony recognizes that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to recovery.

Incorporating his training as a Registered Yoga Teacher, Anthony brings a holistic dimension to his practice. This integration of mind-body techniques offers clients additional tools for managing stress, improving self-awareness, and fostering overall well-being.
