Angela Muterspaugh

With a diverse background in mental health care, Angela Muterspaugh, LMFT, brings a wealth of experience to her role as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Her journey in the field began at the prestigious Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital, where she honed her skills in group therapy, laying a strong foundation for her future practice.

Angela's professional path led her to the community mental health center at Vanderbilt in December 2009, where she expanded her expertise to include both individual and group therapy at the Adult Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic. It was here that she developed her proficiency in cognitive behavioral therapy and prolonged exposure therapy, two evidence-based approaches that form the cornerstone of her therapeutic toolkit.

In October 2012, Angela's dedication and expertise were recognized when she became a faculty member at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. This appointment not only speaks to her clinical skills but also to her ability to contribute to the education and development of future mental health professionals.

Most recently, Angela has brought her extensive experience to the Nashville Center for Hope & Healing (NCHH), a division of the NeuroScience & TMS Treatment Center. Here, she continues to provide compassionate, effective care to individuals seeking support for a range of mental health concerns.

Throughout her career, Angela has demonstrated a commitment to providing personalized, evidence-based care.
