As a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern, Alexis brings a fresh perspective to her practice, focusing on empowering individuals to grow, learn, and become the truest version of themselves.

Alexis specializes in trauma-informed therapy, with expertise in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Her areas of focus include anxiety, PTSD, family therapy, autism, and ADHD. This diverse skill set allows her to address a wide range of mental health challenges that can impact individuals at various stages of life.

One of the cornerstones of Alexis's practice is her belief that therapy should be tailored to each individual's unique needs. She understands that mental health can be affected by various factors such as school, work, relationships, and past experiences, and that these impacts manifest differently for each person. To address this, Alexis incorporates a variety of therapeutic techniques into her sessions, including activities, skill-building exercises, play therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and traditional talk therapy.

Alexis is particularly passionate about working with children and adults who have experienced trauma, as well as those dealing with anxiety, ADHD, and autism. Her approach is characterized by a genuine excitement to work with clients and hear their stories, fostering an environment where individuals feel comfortable sharing and working through their challenges.

As a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern, Alexis is in the process of obtaining her full clinical license, practicing under the supervision of a fully licensed professional. This ongoing training ensures that she is continually expanding her skills and knowledge to better serve her clients, bringing the latest therapeutic techniques and research into her practice.
